Bear Smart Committee
The mandate of the BSC is to gain Bear Smart Community status for the Village. The committee focus is about education to the public concerning bear safety and food attractants.


Board of Variance
The Board of Variance rules on applications made regarding the relaxation of specific portions of the Zoning Bylaw No. 362.  The BOV can rule on heights and setbacks only and hardship must be proven by the applicant.  There is no charge for making an application to the BOV however, 10% is added to the Building Permit fee. 

Budget & Finance Committee 
Acts in an advisory capacity to Council regarding the formulation of the Annual Budget and Five Year Financial Plan 2009-2013. 

Events Committee
The focus of the Events Committee is to plan, develop and administer recreational, community and cultural events for the residents of Lions Bay.  Recreation programs are administered through the Village Office.

Sea to Sky Highway Advisory Group (HAG)
This committee is comprised of community members appointed by Council to solicit input regarding highway improvements and to liaise with the design team, Council and residents.


Tree Committee
The purpose of the Tree Committee is to act in an advisory capacity to Council on matters related to the development, interpretation, enforcement and future direction of Tree Bylaw No. 393 which regulates the management of trees on public land and also the Village's Tree Cutting Policy regarding trees on private land in the Village of Lions Bay.
