To provide for potential new development, the Municipality undertook an assessment of natural hazards to inform the creation of Natural Hazard Assessment Areas (NHAAs) within the Village OCP. The Natural Hazard Assessment Report (the "Cordilleran Report") can be found here. In order to meet our common law and statutory duties, draft guidelines for Natural Hazard Assessment Areas, including mapping, was incorporated into a draft OCP amendment bylaw in 2018.
