Residential solid waste destined for landfill is collected curbside every second Friday by the municipality’s contractor. In the unlikely event the contractor missed your load available during the timeslot for the street , contact Waste Control Services at 604-986-9777.
Each residence may place two 77 litre cans or garbage bags each weighing no more than 20 kg curbside—wildlife resistant containers may be left clipped. Additional container tags can be purchased at the Village Office ($4). Solid waste for multi-family residences is collected centrally. Commercial establishments contract their own solid waste services. See Garbage and Recycling Collection Bylaw No. 455, 2013 for official information on garbage collection in the Village of Lions Bay.
