Due to the heavy rainfall and high winds both Magnesia and Harvey Creeks are running high and continue to move significant debris down the channels. The Magnesia Creek intake is clogged and consequently the treatment plant is not supplying enough potable water to the Village.
The Harvey Creek treatment plant continues to supply all of our water for the time being. Harvey Creek supply is diminished by what we believe to be a combination of debris and vegetation plugging the screens.
Accordingly, please conserve water to ensure the demand can continue to be met by the diminished Harvey system.
Public Works will continue to monitor the situation and issue further updates as required.
